No. I feel that it is really important that you find the counsellor who best suits your needs. There is no expectation that you continue onto counselling following the initial consultation.
The number of sessions that you require can vary. I would usually recommend 6 weekly or fortnightly sessions if you require short term therapy. Longer term therapy can last months and even years. It really depends on what you wish to talk about in the sessions. Prior to commencing counselling we would discuss this and regular mutual reviews would be undertaken. Ultimately, it is your choice.
I do not currently offer couples counselling.
Yes. I understand that sometimes it may be difficult due to work and life circumstances or fluctuating health conditions to access face to face counselling on a permanent weekly basis. I aim to make my counselling accessible and can offer you a combination of online, telephone and face to face sessions.
Our sessions together will always be led by you. You will never be required to share anything that you do not wish to.
So long as you have a confidential space from where to conduct your counselling sessions and are able to download Zoom you should be able to undertake online counselling. I would also advice a suitable pair of headphones in order to maintain confidentiality. We can discuss this further in the initial session if it is something that you are interested in.

Clients have told me that their fears were dispelled following the initial session. It just needs you to take the first step.
The people I see are important to me. I always ensure that my way of working is in their best interest. If I felt at the initial meeting that that I was not the best person for you I would ensure that I signpost you to someone who would be better placed to help you.
